Many people now in the Philippines are working in the BPO industry. Call Centers are sprouting anywhere and it give many employment opportunities to a lot of us. Here are some list I can say why I like BPO or Business Process Outsourcing.
1. Salary- BPO Companies offer much higher salary compared to other local companies in the Philippines. That itself are some motivating factors why people shift from a local traditional job to a BPO industry. So if you are interested you can scout from BPO employees and ask them how much their company offer before you decide what particular BPO industry you will join.
2. Medical Benefits- This particular benefits are given not only for the employee but also for their family members. Some employee stay working in a BPO industry due to this particular benefits that they cannot find in some other industry. BPO company offer this benefits some up to 3 dependents or more. The Medical benefits they offer is really a big help for family during time of hospitalization and other medical needs.
3.Promotion- Promotion is quite faster in a BPO industry. Of course company would also look at your qualification before you are considered to be promoted.Things like your work attitude, attendance, your monthly statistics and dedication. But it is realistic that one can be promoted in less than a year working in this industry.
4.No age Discrimination- As long as you are healthy enough to work have the skill that match to the job required you can be hired. Age is not a big deal. I even know of people in their 40 and 50 and even 60's apply for a BPO company and get hired and earn and decent income. And if you know different language you can speak like Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese etc., depend on the need of the company, there are additional skills allowance on top of your basic salary.
5.Working Environment- Working environment is very nice also. Since most of the job are done at night. Companies offer also sleeping room for their employee to rest or take a nap. The floor is well lighted to boast your mood and most of the people are friendly to each other. Team efforts are very encourage to achieve company's goal. Annual, Semi annual or even monthly town hall are being held to boast camaraderie among peers. Sports feast, free gym inside and outside of the office are also offered to encourage health and fitness awareness.Team buildings and voluntary charitable works are also program to not only focus on work but also for having fun and giving back.
BPO industry started in 1999 and it never stop growing here in our country. In fact it is the fastest growing industry and it continued to this day. Providing jobs and unlimited opportunities to many people. .So if you are one of those newly graduated or people would like to shift new career.
