Simple Tips on how to Save Money

Many of us work hard to earn money . But before you  know it, your money are gone without a trace, then you long for your next payday to come. Is this what happen to you? Don't worry you are not alone. Even people earning 7 digit salary or business have a hard time saving. A lot of people doesn't seem to have the discipline on how to take hold of their hard earn money and save it for the future.
The question is why? 1st our educational system does not really touch this topics as much as it should be. 2nd our own justification and urgency to spend money, 3rd simply ignoring how important the value of saving.
Yes, it's nice to spend money but being broke is not a nice way to spend your day or month or even years here on earth. Everybody should start thinking of ways to save and at the same time let the money you earn help you earn  more money.

Why should we save money? If you don't want to be a burden to other people, Save. If you want to have financial freedom, save.  If you have  no job security, Save. If you want to enjoy more shopping, save. If you want to travel anywhere, save. So you have money for emergency, Just save, save, save.
Now you may ask how do I save money?

First, I tell you  don't start saving money if you are in debt. Try to pay first your debt that earn big interest every month. If you have credit card debt, or plastic money as they call it, pay that debt first. Don't ignore this kind of debt, the interest is very high. Always pay more than what is due every month. Then  pay in cash everytime you purchase and avoid using your credit card. Don't depend on the money you can barrow from plastic money. Try to spend from what you earned not from what you can borrow. Or better yet spend money below from what you earn, in that way you can save some of it for your future.
Here is my simple tips to save. Once pay day come. First give thanks to whatever amount you recieve during pay day. Yes you work for it  but your money will have more value if you express gratitude for what you received. Prioritize the amount you will save before spending anything. Then you can spend with confident the rest of the money you have, but make sure you have enough money to get you through the next payday.

How much will you save? Follow this simple formula 20%, 70%, 10%. The 20% is the amount you will save out of your payroll every pay date. Get it immediately and put it in your bank account don't touch it.Just save it. The 70% is the amount you can spend paying your bill first then the rest of the money you can spend for your need. Remember always spend first for your need. After spending for the need then you can spend the rest of your money to your wants. But always have money enough for you to get to the next pay date. The 10% is for you to share with other people or to your church. Be a blessing to other people by sharing what you have. Remember what goes around comes around. Help people in need. An open hand recieve more blessing than those that are close.

Saving is a start for you to be on a right tract for financial freedom. It's simple four letter's S A V E but hard to do it specially if we have all the reason to spend. Do it starting now. Don't wait tomorrow. Tomorrow is always the next day. As long as you earn from your job, sideline, extra income, winning, gift do some savings. It does not matter how much you earn but how much you saved for your future. You will feel good and more confident about yourself knowing you have savings than walking around broke. Be kind to yourself, start saving money now.

Next time I will be talking about how your savings will help you earn more money.
